It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our new website. This new communication tool, which will help us promote the economic growth of our municipality, will also facilitate the exchange of ideas between the population of the municipality of Lacolle and its council. Visitors will find a wealth of informations such as: the list of Lacolle businesses, community groups, services offered by the municipality (firemen, library, police), a page on tourism, and most importantly, administrative document such as: municipal by-laws, minutes from monthly meetings, the budget and other relevant documents.

Ther is also a page for local news which could be used by local community groups to advertise their activities (sports events, fund raiser,etc.). A page about the history of Lacolle with photos of "days gone by" accompanied by short descriptions. The citizens will also be able to contact the council members by email to express their views or make suggestions.

Finally, we have dedicated a part on the website the Lacolle industrial park. Because of its location, along the U.S. border, and also because the Municipality of Lacolle is one of the main entry point to Canada for commerce with the United States, we are firmly convinced that this strategic position will have a serious impact on companies who export to the United States, when comes the time for them to choose a better location for their company. This website will help us promote our municipality and its industrial park throughout the world.
